1. Boost and fertilisation over a six month period

Maltaflor is a natural soil & plant food and a soil conditioner from resources grown according to certified organic standards.
Malt germs from malting barley and malt dusts with broken down carbohydrates contribute the major proportion of Maltaflor. These components guarantee a regular and balanced  nutrient supply for  continuous and healthy plant growth. Another important component is from sugar beet and provides a high grade potassium content. A small amount of mineral phosphate optimises the nutrient composition. The nutrient supply ideally matches the plants demand for up to 6 months. 15% of the total N-supply (from sugar beet) will act immediately. During the last quarter of the vegetation period the supply decreases. Any unwanted nitrate deposits in the harvested crops are avoided.  

2. Taking root and root growth

The root growth is encouraged, transplants are rooting vigorously. The plants get stabilised and the root taking is improved. Sugars are translocated to the root tips.

3. Increase in the biological soil activity

The highly broken down carbohydrates feed the micro organisms and the Azetobacter bacteria varieties which can fix the N from the atmosphere. Proteins from amino acids feed bacteria and unlock various other nutrient pools which are usually unavailable to the plants.

4. Soil improvement effects

The granules store a lot of water through intensive adsorption and improve the air circulation in the soil for a period of 2 months. Only the interaction and synergy of all the components make Maltaflor a potent booster with excellent plant growing and ecological qualities.

5. High quality nutrient forms

By using herbacious potassium of the sugar beet in the form of potassium sulfate-contrary to the mineral potassium chlorite-the plants will not come under salt stress factors.  

6. Convenient handling

Maltaflor is granulated and thus can be used in fertiliser spreaders.

Grape - 0.1-0.3 kg/vine
Pipfruit - 0.2-0.5 kg/tree

Use according to the plants demand. One application usually covers the whole growing period.
